These are  the observed holidays for 2019.  Courthouse will be open 8:30- 4:30 unless some unforeseen situation. (i.e weather, power outage, or declaration from the Governor.) 

-Hanidcap accessiblity to the Cabell County Courthouse is on the 7th street side with parking and ramps leading to and from the basement of the Courthouse.

-Homestead Exemption you must bring a valid West Virginia Driver's License or Voters Card.  A state resident 2 years and lived in your home for 6 months. Also be of age 65 or disabled.  If disabled you need a Doctor Letter saying 100% disabled.

-What time of year are certain filings due?
--To be approved for a Farm Statistics Reduction you must file between the dates of July 1st and September 1st of each year. 
--To be approved for Homestead/Disability Exemption you must apply between the dates of July 1st and December 1st. 
--All taxpayers must file a Personal Property Return by October 1st of each year.
--All Business Personal Property Returns must be filed by September 1st of each year
